I grew up in a small town. At least I thought it was small, when I imagined what the wide world would be like when I eventually escaped its little ways. I found out later, when I moved to an even smaller town, that my hometown wasn’t really that small in the scheme of urbanity. That ultimately the world is not measured by how many streets are filled with people, but how people fill our hearts.
